PGIN distributes "Shop-IN" gift cards for PWDs

Jan. 08, 2021 ...

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN), through the Ilocos Norte Trade and Investment Promotion Center (INvest) Office, and in cooperation with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), has distributed shopping gift cards to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the towns of Bacarra and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, yesterday.

The distribution of "Shop-IN" gift card is part of the Re-imagine to Stimulate Economy (RISE) program of INvest Office which focuses on the economic recovery of the province, specifically by helping local businesses as well as consumers.

Almost 1,800 beneficiaries are expected to receive gift cards amounting to P1,000 each, throughout the province. These can be redeemed in affiliate stores, and are only valid for non-essential products such as, but not limited to retail and apparel, home appliances and accessories, electronics and gadgets, and lifestyle services and entertainment.

Ms. Judith Crisostomo, mother of one of the PWD recipients, expressed her appreciation to the Provincial Government: "We are thankful kasi we are the first batch of beneficiaries ng programang ito.

The Provincial Government team will head to the northern part of the province this week to distribute gift cards to more beneficiaries.
