Oct. 23, 2020 ...

To further assist in the recovery of small businesses in the province,  the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN), through the Small-Medium Enterprises (SME) Office, distributed package containing various goods to micro-bakery owners earlier today, in the town of Sarrat.

Called the "Pandagdag Pangkabuhayan Program," it is an initiative of Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc which aims to assist distressed small bakery owners who are affected by the pandemic, by providing them items to replenish their goods.

Almost 80 micro bakery owners will be given assistance entire the province, through this program.

Ms. Eleanor Delos Reyes, one of the beneficiaries expressed her thoughts after receiving her goods:

Talagang lubos kaming nagpapasalamat."

Coinciding with the distribution of recovery assistance to bakery owners is the continuation of distribution of assistance to sari-sari store owners, which is also part of the COVID-19 recovery programs of SME.

The next distribution is scheduled on October 26 and October 29, in the towns of Pasuquin and Piddig, respectively.
