Gov. Marcos Manotoc, Cong. Marcos to expand key programs in 2023

Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc and the province's First District Representative, Congressman Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos assured the Ilokano community of increased assistance by expanding institutionalized programs in a press conference on January 5.
During the conference, Gov. Marcos Manotoc expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Office of Cong. Marcos and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for their assistance to the province, primarily through the TUPAD program.
According to Cong. Marcos, his office has allocated 9.5 million for the TUPAD program this year, which will benefit almost 1600 Ilokanos. Beneficiaries will receive Php 6,000 pesos for rendering 15 days of work.
"Me and the governor always look for ways together and kahit nagpapasalamat siya sa amin, maliit na bagay lamang 'to kumpara sa [mga] lahat ng ginagawa ng PGIN para sa amin sa Congressional Office. So, I hope we can continue to work together and continue to help each other," Cong. Marcos stated.
Furthermore, Gov. Marcos Manotoc announced that PGIN will distribute the TUPAD program in both the first and second districts of the province, prioritizing those victims of recent calamities and typhoons that battered Ilocos Norte.
Moreover, Cong. Marcos mentioned other programs from his office and from PGIN that they can ask help from, such as Educational Assistance, Food Subsidy, and Medical Assistance, among others.
In 2020 along, the Provincial Government extended cash and livelihood assistance to Ilokanos amounting to 370 million pesos.
