Governor Matthew Marcos Matonoc has ordered a mandatory 14-day home quarantine to all returning residents and all visitors coming to Ilocos Norte to abate the spread of COVID-19.

The MMMH&MC has already received the laboratory test result of the Person under investigation, the result is Negative from COVID-19

We would like to urge the public to observe precautionary measures such as personal hygiene, frequent handwashing, and avoid going to public places if possible. If you have traveled to countries that are affected with COVID 19 or have symptoms, please consult a doctor and if advised, please isolate yourself.

Let us be responsible for the information that we share and remain calm despite these trying times. Together, we will overcome this as we always have.

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte would like to reiterate to the public that the province is Corona Virus Free. However, we urge everybody to observe standard precautionary measures to avert the possible spreading of the disease and refrain from sharing unverified information to avoid causing panic and alarm.

In light of the confirmed case of the Novel Coronavirus (N-CoV-2019) in the country, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte urges the public to observe the following precautionary measures to avert possible spreading of the disease:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Stay home when you are sick.

If you have a cough or cold, wear a mask and observe proper coughing and sneezing etiquette.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Refrain from eating raw meats and exotic animals. And make sure that your food are properly cooked.
