Activities will be kick-started on March 7 through a Women's Trade Fair set up behind the Provincial Capitol to give Ilocano women the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial abilities as well as their potential to sustain a livelihood and support their families.
From 1:00 to 5:00p.m., a Choral Singing Competition for high school students will also be held at the Provincial Capitol Auditorium for young girls to share their talents.

The annual highlight of the celebration, the Kinni-kinni Parade, is set for March 8 at 4:00p.m., assembling in front of the Land Bank of the Philippines, Laoag City, to proceed through Rizal Street. It was first launched in 2012 by Gov. Imee Marcos to enjoin Ilocano women to promote greater awareness of their role in the overall progress of society.
"Kinni-kinni" is an Ilocano word for "walking gracefully or charmingly," hence the parade involving women empowerment advocates walking the streets and bearing slogans relevant to their cause.
Following the parade will be an awards ceremony for the choral singing competition as well as special titles including Most Attractive Delegation, Kinni-kinni Queen (Rampang Ganda), Buntis Queen, and Best Slogan.
The celebration is in line with Governor Marcos's statement in her 2015 State of the Province Address where she talked of PGIN's efforts to improve livelihoods of Ilocanos, saying, "Women province-wide are leading the charge."
