Marking the beginning of his administration, Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc led the provincial officials and employees during his first flag raising ceremony as Provincial Governor at the Capitol grounds on Monday, July 1.
Gov. Manotoc reminded his fellow public servants to be guided by the protocols and become competent in rendering service to the community, saying, "I would like for all of us to reflect and reconsider all of our rules, all of our systems, all of our procedures for we can always become more efficient and effective. I am sure with all of us working together for the next three years we will become so."
Together with Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, they both stressed on their "open door policy," advising employees to visit their offices and voice out their concerns, problems, and suggestions for these to be properly addressed.

Moreover, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte also geared up for the 45th Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme, "Kumain nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo...Push Natin 'to!"
On the same day, the Provincial Nutrition Council (PNC) and Nutritionist-Dietitians' Association of the Philippines (NDAP)–Ilocos Norte offered free nutritional assessment and diet counselling at the Provincial Auditorium. Also, Portable Lactation Stations were given to the seven Cluster Evacuation Areas (Pagudpud, Banna, Pasuquin, Solsona, Batac, Currimao, and the Capitol) in the province to provide appropriate breastfeeding areas during calamities.
"Today, we also celebrate the kick off of Nutrition Month at tamang-tama na 'yon din po ang rally cry ko: A healthy Ilocos Norte is a productive Ilocos Norte," Gov. Manotoc expressed.
During the campaign rally, he underscored the improvement of healthcare centers as his priority, continuing his commitment to making Ilocos Norte "healthy."
