Governor Imee says Santiago-Marcos tandem possible for 2016 pollsOct 14, 2015
Governor Imee R. Marcos on Wednesday acknowledged that Senator Miriam
Defensor-Santiago is considering Senator Bongbong Marcos as her possible
running mate in the upcoming 2016 elections.
Senator Defensor-Santiago, who announced yesterday her plans to seek for
presidency in 2016, revealed that she would also have a vice president
who has already declared to run for the second highest elective
_“Senator Miriam indicated na si Bongbong daw ang gusto niya at
nakapagfile na raw…first time ko marinig, nagulat naman ako at
tuwang-tuwa,”_ said Governor Imee.
She added that “meetings and discussions are on-going (about the

Senator Marcos formally announced in public his plans to run as vice
president last Saturday, October 10 at Intramuros, Manila and currently
does not have a president to run with him.

kasi medyo nagkakagulo sa NP [Nacionalista Party] dahil tatlo-tatlo ang
Vice President at yung KBL [Kilusang Bagong Lipunan] naman sinisigurado
muna namin kung paano dahil may issues sa registration ng iba’t ibang
kandidato,”_ noted Governor Imee.
Despite all of these, Governor Imee expressed her gratitude to all
Ilocanos who have already shown their support to the 2016 political bid
of Senator Marcos.
_“Maraming salamat dahil sulit na sulit na maging Ilocano sa panahon
ngayon. Sabi nga nila ay hulog ng langit itong nangyari na sa ngayon ay
four and a half ang Bicolano at iisa ang Ilocano na tatakbo,”
